Matthew 28: 11 -15
The soldiers who
were on duty guarding the tomb were in a dilemma when the angels rolled back
the large stone and Jesus' body was gone. The priests and elders conspire to
cover up the resurrection.
These scriptures
made me think of the resurrection and how the soldiers must have felt when the
body was gone and they knew the stone had not been moved. There must be a lot of confusion and since no
one could logically explain it the priests and elder felt that trying to cover
it up was the right thing to do. I
wonder if I lived at that time would I come closer to Christ? This is a difficult question because in those
days the people have to have faith because otherwise there is no other way to
explain the disappearance of the Savior.
I'm glad to live in this day where it is easier to have faith by living
the gospel every day and having a living prophet to guide us.
